Many people often wonder, and even ask me….”how does your family do snow days?” This is how. This is our normal. This is our journey. Is it hard for me as a mom, to see my children dragging themselves around in the snow? Absolutely. 
But, God has healed my heart through them. My children choose sunny joy in the midst of their “limitations”, and that gives me strength to be present to them and to see what a gift they are to me and to the world. #nolimits 

My parents have taught me the gift of dancing to the beat of the drums…the drums of our Caribbean hearts. Taught me not to be afraid of the winter. “It’s not dead….because spring is coming.” They immigrated and left behind the sunny and musical island life, for a better life in the cold island of Manhattan. Thank you, papi and mami, because your sacrifices are SEEN. I am my ancestors’ wildest dream! Our yard will always have the beauty of the islands, even in the midst of this cold winter. Virginia Beach is my new beautiful island life…the beach life with those that love us here and now, and from afar (nos veremos pronto). 🇵🇷 🇩🇴 🇺🇸
