#LifeAfterMoody: Building a career in communications was always in the cards for Faith Osterberg, a 2021 #TEXASMoody Corporate Communications graduate and 2023 M.A. Technology and Organizational Communications graduate from Southlake, TX.

Faith’s interest in the interaction between technology and communication led to her position today as a Marketing Specialist for TurnerConstructionCompany in San Diego, CA. “I wanted to understand how those dynamics show up every day across cultures, industries, and teams...that intersection is where communication really matters.”

Faith now spends her time telling the stories behind large-scale structures (with SoFi Stadium standing out as her favorite CA project) and developing proposals for potential clients.“When you’re bidding on multi-million-dollar projects, or projects of any volume, that will become community spaces and iconic places, audience-centric storytelling is everything.”  Faith’s most notable project was a one-hour feature film for the new Terminal 1 at the San Diego International Airport, where she utilized her video editing skills she has gained from her participation in texasstudenttv.

During her time at #TEXASMoody, Faith was involved in multiple student organizations while also serving as a teaching assistant for cockrellschool. Asking important questions and being encouraged to dig deeper into stories were just a couple of the skills Faith learned during her college career. “[My degree] taught me how to use storytelling to connect with people... and turn those connections into meaningful, effective deliverables.” Faith encourages current Moody students to ask questions, learn from mistakes and remain curious! “Reframing mistakes as learning moments has shaped my growth and made me a stronger leader.” Since graduating, Faith misses the buzzing energy of the utaustintx campus. “Everyone encouraged big ideas and cool projects. (And the equipment checkout was elite…any chance I can get a day pass?)”
