I found a calmer, cheaper and (dare I say🤪) classier alternative to Disney… in Gothenburg 🇸🇪✨

If you want that magic + adventure vibe without the chaos or the price tag… this is it.

We paid £50–£70pp per night for hotel + park access at Liseberg Amusement Park  and flights can be ridiculously cheap — we paid about £200 total for 4 on the way back ✈️ 

And the hotel?
Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel liseberggrandcuriosa is basically a dream for kids:

• A giant slide in the middle of the hotel
• Magical “curiosity cabinet” interiors (think animals, ships, hidden details everywhere)
• A carousel ride at breakfast 🎠
• Cinema room (only wish: one English film a night although they kindly put subtitles when asked )
• Lego rooms, games rooms, activities
• We went at Easter so loads of baking + craft sessions

Right next door is Kaninlandet 🐰 — perfect for younger kids (up to around 11 is the age sweet spot) in summer it’s for all ages as the bigger rides are open

There’s also:
• A huge arcade (we had 2 hours free play)
• Great coffee + cake at the cafe in the lobby ☕️
• Loads of restaurants nearby 

Our favourite? A tiny pizza spot with a disco loo gaetanos_sveagatan_goeteborg  incredible pizza a giant chalkboard to keep the kids busy and who doesn’t like to dance in the bog ? 

All in all this break was Disney without the overwhelm. Sold !
