Since I was 4, I’ve been an avid reader. From summer book competitions at the public library to the rich texts about our Blackness on my parents’ shelves, reading has always been an enriching outlet. 

As we enter an era where there’s an all out assault on Black intellectualism, I hope you will join me on YouTube as I read through a few excerpts from books that have had a major impact on who I am today.
