Today marks the 56th anniversary of the #VotingRightsAct of 1965. The VRA was one the most important pieces of civil rights legislation of the 20th century. But after 50 years of keeping our right to vote safe, a dangerous Supreme Court decision gutted the law — leaving Americans open to dangerous voting rights infringements.
