153 years later, we must keep applying pressure to the “pervading purpose” of the 14th Amendment, which promised freedom and equality to Black folk in the United States.

At a time when Black history is under attack in public schools, and one-third of states have passed restrictive voting rights laws this year alone, we must continue to hold America accountable until these ideals become a reality!

In the words of MLK, “...be true to what you said on paper” ✊🏽💞
