## Caption

On the evening of May 13, 1985, longstanding tensions between MOVE, a Black liberation group founded in 1972, and the Philadelphia Police Department ended up deadly when the city of Philadelphia dropped a satchel bomb laced with Tovex and C-4 explosives on the MOVE organization. At the time, the men, women, and children lived in a West Philadelphia row home when it went up in flames. Eleven people were killed, including five children and the organization's founder. Sixty-one homes were destroyed, and more than 250 citizens were left homeless. Louise James - sister of Delbert Africa - addresses the MOVE Commission during the fallout following the bombing. #ARYEXBHM
