Following Sam, Jim and Wesley as they build this song from the ground up… and yeah this is the part people don’t really talk about.

Figuring out structure.
Dialing in tones.
Locking the tempo.
Agreeing on the feel.

It sounds simple until everyone hears something slightly different.

This session took patience. A lot of back and forth. Testing ideas, pulling things back, pushing others forward… all while trying to stay true to the vision.

That balance between taste, experimentation and direction is where it gets tricky.

How far do you take it? What do you leave alone? When is a song finished?

This is the real work. Not just playing parts… but aligning minds.
