Ottawa Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect following an alleged s*xual assault that occurred late Saturday night along Colonel By Drive, in the area beneath the Mackenzie King Bridge.

The incident reportedly took place between approximately 11:00 p.m. and midnight. Investigators believe there were multiple vehicles passing through the area at the time, along with possible pedestrian traffic, and are urging anyone who may have seen anything or has dashcam footage to come forward.

The suspect is described as a white or Indigenous male, over 6 feet tall, approximately 40 years old, with acne scarring on his cheeks and facial hair, possibly a mustache. He has a medium build, is English-speaking with no accent, and was last seen travelling on foot wearing a black jacket, black baseball cap, and carrying a black backpack. Police also note he is known to smoke.
