The NorthStar SailGP Team representing Canada finished 10th overall at the 4th stage of the 2026 SailGP season that took place in Rio, Brazil, this weekend. The Canadian team is currently 11th in the 2026 overall standing. Next stage will be in Bermuda, May 9-10.

“We’ve put a lot of changes in place, but this ended up being a pretty frustrating weekend", said NorthStar Sail GP Team Driver, Giles Scott. "We’ve got a bit of a deadlock in the run of results we’ve had lately. We’ve implemented some positive changes, but they have not come to fruition and shown on the scorecard yet. We just have to try to break that deadlock next time.”

L'équipe NorthStar SailGP représentant le Canada a terminé au 10e rang à la 4e étape de la saison 2026 de SailGP présentée à Rio, au Brésil, cette fin de semaine. L'équipe canadienne est présentement au 11e rang du classement général 2026. La prochaine étape aura lieu aux Bermudes, les 9 et 10 mai.

« Nous avons mis en place de nombreux changements, mais cette fin de semaine s'est avérée assez frustrante », a déclaré le pilote de l'équipe NorthStar Sail GP, Giles Scott. « Nous sommes un peu dans une impasse en ce qui concerne nos résultats récents. Nous avons apporté des changements positifs, mais ceux-ci n'ont pas encore porté fruits et ne se reflètent pas encore au tableau d'affichage. Il ne nous reste plus qu'à essayer de sortir de cette impasse la prochaine fois. »
