Happy Birthday ArchesNPS! 🥳🎂

On this day in 1929, Arches National Park became a national monument and later became a national park in 1978. To celebrate, we wanted to share some fun facts about the park!

🌎 Its name comes from the 2,000+ natural stone arches found in the park, the highest concentration of natural arches in the world.

🧂 The park sits on an underground salt bed, which helped shape the dramatic rock formations it is known for. 

🎬 Many popular movies like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) and The Incredible Hulk (2003) were filmed in the park.

🔥❄️ Temperatures vary wildly, from over 100°F in summer to below freezing in winter.
