“Get to Know” Part XII: 

Our next coach in the spring sport edition of our Get to Know series features Varsity Girls Soccer Coach and MPCS alumna, Megan Childress. 

Coach Childress is in her first season leading the Lady Patriots and is back home after a great career in Spartanburg, South Carolina with the Lady Terriers of Wofford College. 

During her time at Wofford, Coach Childress was a 4x Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll recipient, 3x CSC All-District member, and was apart of the 2024 Southern Conference All-Tournament Team. As a Lady Patriot, she earned All-Region honors three of her four years, served as team captain, and set a school record for career goals (57). 

The team will finish off their regular season with two home matches against St. John Bosco (4/13) and St. Francis (4/15; Senior Night) before competing in the Private Division State Tournament on April 23rd. 

Thanks Coach Childress for an outstanding first season with the team and best of luck the rest of the way!
