Caught this absolute gem of a rare interview with the Backstreet Boys filmed in a London hotel and it feels like stepping straight back into peak late 90s pop madness

They’re messing around first thing in the morning singing bits of Backstreets Back like they’ve just rolled out of bed and honestly it’s chaos in the best way. No polish just five lads having a laugh and not taking themselves too seriously

They get asked about everything from British food to where they’ll be in ten years and you can tell they haven’t got a clue what’s coming next which makes it even better. Proper candid stuff. Talking about touring the UK Newcastle Birmingham Earls Court the lot and just buzzing to be here

There’s even a moment where they mention Robbie Williams showing love and saying there’s room for everyone which says a lot about where their heads were at during that era

Then right at the end they drop a sneaky early blast of I Want It That Way before it was even properly out and you can hear straight away it was going to be massive

What really stands out is how normal they come across. Cameras on or off they’re just friendly easy going and up for a laugh. No ego just a group right on the edge of going stratospheric without fully realising it yet
