Konnor Griffin was one of the top MLB prospects coming into the 2026 season, and has taken the baseball world by storm as he is playing shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was the 9th overall draft pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, and has definitely not disappointed so far.

In his MLB debut, he hit an RBI double and scored a run, followed by a multi-hit and multi-RBI game against the San Diego Padres. He then went on to sign a record breaking contract deal, already receiving a 9-year $140 million extension.

But what about the other 19 year old baseball players around the world? Although Konnor Griffin may now have a $140 million contract playing in the MLB, a nice mustache, and unlimited Bruce Bolts, most other 19 year old baseball players are right there with him as they have a Phiten necklace.
