Almond-Pear Cutout Tarts with Caramel Drizzle

Ingredients:
	•	1 sheet store-bought pie crust (such as Pillsbury), thawed
	•	3 Anjou pears (or any firm, sweet pear), peeled, halved, and cored
•	3 tablespoons almond paste @solofoods
•	Caramel sauce, recipe below
•	Parchment paper, for baking
•	Optional: egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water), for a golden finish
Instructions:
1.	Prep the Pears:
Peel the pears, cut them in half, and scoop out the cores to create a small hollow in each half.
2.	Fill with Almond Paste:
Press about 2 teaspoons of almond paste into the hollow of each pear half.
3.	Prepare the Crust:
Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface. Arrange the filled pear halves, cut-side down, spaced apart on the crust.
4.	Cut Out Pear Shapes:
Using a small knife, cut around each pear, leaving about ½ inch of crust around the edge. You can shape the outer crust like a pear for a decorative look.
5.	Seal the Edges:
Use a fork to gently press down around the edges of each cut-out to seal and create a rustic border.
6.	Transfer to Baking Sheet:
Place the cut-out tarts onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. (Optional: Brush with egg wash for color.)
7.	Bake:
Bake according to your pie crust package instructions—usually around 375°F for 15–20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the pears are tender but still hold their shape (al dente).

Quick Caramel Drizzle

Ingredients:
	•	1/2 cup sugar
	•	2 tbsp unsalted butter
	•	1/4 cup cream (or double cream)
	•	Pinch of salt (optional)

Method:
	1.	Heat sugar in a dry pan over medium, stirring until melted and amber-colored.
2.	Add butter, stir until fully combined.
3.	Slowly pour in cream — it’ll bubble! Stir until smooth.
4.	Finish with a pinch of salt.
5.	Let cool slightly, then drizzle over your tart, cake, or ice cream. #pie #breakfastideas #tarts #dessert #duo #caramel #homemade
