"I would say my two favorite parts of this activity are performances and just the general community. Playing music while simultaneously dancing and jumping around sounds almost dumb and pretty damn near impossible on paper but in reality is the most fulfilling experience I’ve ever had. Seeing the excitement on people’s faces after you just completely nailed a chunk, seeing their eyes widen as you throw every emotion out directly at them is such a cool feeling. The community is absolutely incredible as well, I’ve never felt closer to a group of people. It’s an instant connection, you can meet a stranger and if you find out you both marched somewhere you go from not knowing anything about them to being friends with a whole wide variety of shared interests to explore. People in this activity are inherently kind and warm, and I love the community with every bone of my body. "⁠
