recipe:

- 1 7.5 oz container of PHILADELPHIA Spicy Jalapeno Cream Cheese, room temp & divided
- 1 cup AP flour
- 1 cup medium grind yellow cornmeal
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup melted butter, plus more for greasing
- ¼ cup neutral oil
- 1 cup creamed corn

honey butter glaze:

- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1.5 tbsp honey

whipped cream cheese butter:

- 6 tbsp PHILADELPHIA Spicy Jalapeno Cream Cheese, room temp
- 1/2 cup butter, room temp
- 1 tbsp honey
- pinch of salt

1. preheat oven to 400°F. grease an 8x8 pan generously with butter and place it in the oven to heat up while you mix the batter.

2. in blender/food processor, combine the creamed corn, buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, oil and 1/2 cup of cream cheese. pulse just until smooth, about 10–15 seconds

3. in a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda

4. pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently with a spatula just until no dry spots remain.

5. carefully remove the hot pan from the oven, add another pat of butter, and immediately pour in the batter, spreading it evenly.

6. bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. remove from oven and brush with the honey butter. wait 10 minutes then brush again and sprinkle with flaky salt.

7. for the honey butter glaze: mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.

8. let cornbread cool 10–15 minutes before slicing. serve warm with salted butter or honey butter.

9. for the whipped butter: mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth and aerated. serve alongside cornbread or dolloped on top.
