The Basic Beginner level is designed for adults with 0-1 years of Ballet training. Basic Beginner bridges the gap between the “Absolute Beginner” and “Beginner” levels. ⁠

At the Basic Beginner level, dancers are introduced to the fundamentals of ballet. They will learn the basic body positions, core ballet exercises, proper body alignment, and more!⁠

All OPEN CLASSES are taught at our flagship studios in the West Village of New York City!⁠ Reserve your spot for an upcoming ballet class using the “Open Class Schedule” link in bio.⁠

Also, join us for our Decoding Ballet workshop with faculty member Annastasia Mercedes! ⁠The workshop meets once a week on Tuesdays from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Joffrey Ballet School Manhattan studios. This 5 Week session starts April 14th 2026 - May 12th 2026. ⁠
