Some start with nine girls, a local pitch, and someone actually giving them the chance to play.

arsenal have launched Gunner Girls, a new docuseries following the creation of an U9 community team in North London, with leahwilliamsonn, bethmead_, alessiarusso99 and lottewubbenmoy stepping in to coach, mentor and share what the game gave them early on, helping to inspire the next generation.

With arsenalwfc itself rooted in a community programme established in the 1980s, it is a reminder of what happens when that access is there from the beginning.
