What a powerful, soul-filling night at the HabitatLA Builders Ball ✨🏠

Being in a room full of builders, partners, donors, and families all locked in on the same mission reminded me why this work has lived in my heart since I was a kid — watching leaders like President Jimmy Carter swing hammers with purpose and seeing how one home can change everything. No greater gift than service. 💙

Shoutout to the incredible mstinaknowles, honored with the Dream Builder Award. Tina, your unwavering commitment — supporting Habitat for more than two decades and showing up at builds for so many years, pouring your heart into uplifting communities of color and turning dreams into real stability and hope — is pure inspiration. You embody what it means to build with love and legacy. 🙏🏿

Also grateful I got to spend the evening with two brilliant attorneys and community champions, Areva Martin and Ashley Hollis. Do y’all know only about 2% of attorneys in the U.S. are Black women?! Their presence and advocacy remind us all what’s possible when we show up and lift as we climb.

Every wall we raise together isn’t just shelter… it’s stability, dignity, opportunity, and real strength for families right here in LA. This is what we mean when we say #HomeIsTheKey — because home truly is the foundation that unlocks brighter futures for all of us.
