Oooh we’re getting cloooose!! 🤩⚽ Nelly Furtado and Boi-1da just dropped the first song off the upcoming Canada Soccer album! 

“Electric Circus” is the first official single from Canada Soccer’s Pitch Perfect musical ambassador program. The diverse group of Canadian talent is set to release a full album June 5 called ‘What If It All Goes Right?’ in honour of the FIFA World Cup. 

“The vibe of the dancers on ‘Electric Circus’ inspired the feeling of ‘everybody outside,’ which is the feeling of the World Cup when everyone is outside on restaurant patios watching the games and celebrating together. We wanted to capture that energy,” Nelly said in a statement.

And there’s more music to come soon! The Pitch Perfect program includes Alessia Cara, ARDN, Charlotte Cardin, City and Colour, Connor Price, ekkstacy, Fito Blanco, Isabella Lovestory, Jessie Reyez, Johnny Orlando, Loud Luxury, Nelly Furtado, NorthSideBenji, Sophie Powers, The Tragically Hip, Zeds Dead and Zeina, with more artists to be announced.

Canada is hosting the FIFA World Cup 26, alongside Mexico and the United States, with 13 matches split between Toronto and Vancouver. It is the biggest tournament in FIFA history, bringing together 48 countries for 104 games, across 16 cities.
