I see this all the time…
We’re trying to fix behavior when the real issue is instruction.

And I get it, because behavior is what’s loud.
It’s what’s in your face all day.

But underneath that?
A lot of times, students are confused, stuck, or unsure.

So we lean into more behavior systems…more management…

When what students really need is stronger instruction.

Clear targets.
Aligned tasks.
Real accountability.
Opportunities to actually do the thinking.

Not blame.
Just a shift.

Because when students know what to do, how to do it, and get the chance to actually show it, everything changes.
