#repost  hbcumisterandmiss WINSTON-SALEM, NC. The R.A.M. spirit is unmatched! A massive congratulations to Briyana Tillman on her historic double milestone: being elected the 87th Miss Winston-Salem State University for the 2026–2027 academic year and her initiation into sisterhood.

A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE. For Briyana, this crown is part of a deep family legacy at “The Dash.” She follows in the illustrious footsteps of her mother, a prominent WSSU alumna who served as Miss Red and White, Miss Atkins Hall, and Miss Kappa Alpha Psi, while also gracing the yard as a Scarlet Lace dancer and a Mozik model. Today, Briyana carries that torch forward into a new era.

A LEGACY OF SERVICE & SISTERHOOD. Adding to her monumental year, Briyana is a Spring ‘26 initiate and Charter Member of the Phi Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Her commitment to scholarship and public service perfectly complements her new role as the university’s leading ambassador.

ELITE ACADEMIC & CAMPUS LEADERSHIP. Briyana is a Biology major (Finance minor) and a Chancellor’s Scholar. Her impressive resume includes:
• Medical Scholar: A Rams to White Coat mentee with research internships at Wake Forest and UCI School of Medicine.
• Student Gov: Current Senior Class VP and former Junior Class Senator.
• Student-Athlete: A former All-CIAA Cross Country and Track & Field athlete.
• Honors: Member of Tri-Beta Biological Honors Society and former Miss Delta Chi.

THE RAM STANDARD. From the research lab to the front lines of student advocacy, Briyana embodies the WSSU motto, “Enter to Learn, Depart to Serve.” As she prepares to lead the Royal Court, her reign promises to elevate the standard of excellence for every student.
