etectives with the Suffolk County Police Department's Special Victims Unit are investigating allegations that an employee of a Northport day care facility abused a minor, officials told Newsday.

The investigation centers on the Learning Experience, a day care center for children age 6 weeks through kindergarten, and follows both a March 26 and April 1 inspection of the facility by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
