"This is not my body anymore. I don't understand what's happening."

If you have said some version of that sentence in the last few years, you are not alone. And you are not imagining it.

Personal trainer Debra Duby has been training women in midlife for over 23 years and she says this is the number one thing she hears. Women who did all the right things. Who had routines that worked. Who knew their bodies. And then suddenly, nothing works anymore. Not just a plateau. The opposite direction. Like their body is unraveling and they don't recognize it.

And then they go to their doctor and hear some version of "everybody goes through it" or "there's not much we can do."

That is not acceptable anymore. It is BS, as Debra puts it, because there IS a lot we now know and a lot we can do.

If you have ADHD, this hits even harder because when your estrogen drops in perimenopause and menopause, your dopamine drops too.

So not only is your body changing, your brain is losing the one thing it was already short on. The fog, the fatigue, the feeling like you are failing at things that used to be easy... that is not you. That is neurochemistry.

You are not broken. You are not lazy. And you do not have to just take it on the chin.

Ok, now it's your turn. Let me know in the comments: When did you first realize your body wasn't responding the way it used to? What was the moment?

And, as always, if you like what you're seeing here, please like this video and follow for more.
