#WorldWaterDay | unitednations: “World Water Day 2023 is about accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis.”

A study in the Environmental Science and Technology Journal states that:

“Agriculture and power generation account for an overwhelming majority of direct water withdrawals (90%). A majority of water use (60%) is indirect with 96% of the sectors using more water indirectly in their supply chains than directly. The food and beverage industry accounts for 30% of indirect withdrawals.”

With so much water being used in industries and millions of people today facing a lack of water or water scarcity, there’s an increasing need to transform the way industries use water for our sustained future.
