## Caption

Warhol understood something most people still miss:

Art isn’t just what hangs on the wall.
It’s the environment it creates.

Here, repetition becomes immersion.
Color becomes noise.
And the subject — multiplied, distorted, consumed — becomes something entirely new.

This is Pop Art at its most aggressive.
Not passive. Not polite.

It doesn’t ask you to look.
It forces you to feel it.

The floating silver forms pull you in…
The walls push back.
And somewhere in between, the line between artwork and audience disappears.

Warhol wasn’t documenting culture —
he was predicting exactly where it would go.

Mass production.
Endless repetition.
Image over meaning.

Sound familiar?

The real question isn’t whether this works.

It’s whether you can look away.

"Up, Up and Away", on view through June 1. The activation features Warhol creations that show the depth and range of his talents and interests during what he referred to as his “retirement” from painting in the mid-1960s.
