ਅਨੁਛੇਦ 101(1) – ਸੰਸਦ ਦੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸਦਨ
No person shall be a member of both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha at the same time. If a person is elected to both Houses, they must vacate one seat within the time prescribed by law — failing which, one seat automatically falls vacant.
ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਇੱਕੋ ਸਮੇਂ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਸਦਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਇੱਕ ਸੀਟ ਖਾਲੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ — ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ’ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੀਟ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਖਾਲੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।Article 101(2) – Parliament & State Legislature

No person shall be a member of Parliament and a State Legislature at the same time. If elected to both, they must resign from one within the specified period — otherwise, their seat in Parliament becomes vacant.
