If you’re travelling from the UK or a non-EU Country, you need to be aware of the EU’s Entry/Exit System, or EES.

From Friday 10th of April, the EES is set to be implemented at all EU airports.

Travellers are being advised to allow for additional time at the border when travelling to the EU, however you do not have to do anything in advance as everything takes place on the day of travel, completely free.

When registering for EES for the first time, your photo and your passport will be taken and anyone over 12 will also have their fingerprints taken.

As always, we recommend you follow the guidance from the government, and your airline, but please make sure you allow some extra time for the checks, especially if you have a connection to make.

If you have any EES questions, drop them in the comments below and we will try and help figure them out for you.
