My grandmother would have been 20 years old when this happened.

In 1945, the U.S. dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasakiz  acts Britain and its allies quietly approved as “necessary” to end the war. 

120,000 men women and children were wiped out instantly.

Vaporised in to dust.

The world watched in awe and horror, realizing we had created the power to erase entire cities in seconds. 

170,000 people were dead within months from the two attacks mostly due to radiation poisoning.

Today the Americans hold atom bombs 3000x more powerful.

Newspapers called it victory. Scientists called it progress. But what was it really?

We justified annihilation in the name of peace.

History keeps repeating that same logic,  killing for “freedom,” destruction for “security.”

The insanity isn’t just the bomb itself,  it’s how easily we believe it’s justified.
