## Caption

These Hilltop homes have stood for over 100 years, attracting some well-known residents.

🏥 Left: Dr. Harley H. Emerson's home and office. A separate entrance for patients made it desirable for the three other doctors who would later occupy the building.

🏛️ Center: W. Ralston Westlake, Mayor of Columbus from 1960 to 1963. This was his childhood home – his father, Milton Westlake, was a Columbus City Council member, Franklin County Commissioner, and founder of the family’s ruby glass engraving business.

🏡 Right: The manse for Hoge Memorial Presbyterian church – the official residence of its pastor. The church owned the home until 1955, when it changed to private ownership.

All three houses still stand today, along with several others from the same period.
