“that’s a version of love that I think matters”

Tennessee is a beautiful hard place to love. Especially right now. They successfully passed a bill to rename pride month to nuclear family month … it can often feel like “it’s harder than ever” or …. “Why stay?”

I’m grateful to be invited to chat with wpln and thisisnashville_wpln yesterday. A conversation about why people stay or leave. A caller thought I was being too harsh with words like “we have to fight for a better nashville”. And I hear you. 

But when I talk about FIGHTING - I’m talking about LOVING really loud. 

This is the kind of dialogue we need. 

This matters to me. 

Save the date - Sumner County is going to do their Pride (affirmingsumner ) at fruityfarmtn on September 19th. 

Because we don’t need June to be the only month for love and acceptance- we are gonna reclaim all the months :) also the weather is better in TN and the harvest will be in full swing.
