And it's this focus on #discovery—on thinking outside the box to make people's lives better—that makes these experiments unique. "The quest to make pioneering medicine discoveries involves going above and beyond the expected, and in our case, working outside the traditional walls of a lab. 🔬 Conducting experiments in #space along with the brilliant minds of our hardware collaborators and the NASA crew, 🚀 together with the environment available on the #InternationalSpaceStation, gives our team the chance to not only connect with perspectives and techniques that we may not see every day, but to also do something just as precious: It lets us do #research we cannot conduct here on Earth. 🌎 "These experiments use the unique conditions of microgravity in the space environment to study protein #crystallization and muscle wasting in optimal conditions. 🌌 These are the first of four experiments we will launch this year. "What excites me most about this collaboration? When you get a group of people together who come from different backgrounds with different ideas and experiences, great things are bound to happen. 👩🏻👨🏾We have been blessed to work with our partners at #CASIS to make this all happen.
