"My interest in science began at a very young age. 👧🏼 I always enjoyed subjects like #biology, chemistry, geology—and especially astronomy, or anything to do with #space. 🌌 Growing up near Chicago, some of my most memorable experiences included visits to the Museum of #Science and Industry and the Adler Planetarium. 🔭 "The effect of weightlessness on the musculoskeletal system has always been a question of interest in medical #research. This muscle-wasting experiment in microgravity is especially exciting because I've been involved from the very beginning, and now it will be applied to another area of #science of special interest to me: space travel. 🚀 I have been fascinated with space and #astronomy throughout my whole life, but I never thought it would be more than a peripheral interest.
