Here, theology becomes sculpture.

This panel brings together some of the most profound concepts of Hindu thought — the Trimurti and the divine couple.

From left to right:

Brahma — the Creator
Often shown with multiple faces, symbolizing knowledge of all directions and the unfolding of the cosmos.

Maheshwara (Shiva in his supreme aspect) — the Transformer
The ascetic lord, embodiment of dissolution, meditation, and cosmic power.

Vishnu — the Preserver
