Opening next week, “RENT” is the final show of our season! This production is part of our Storefront Series and was directed, designed, and created entirely by our student production team!

Jonathan Larson’s iconic Pulitzer Prize-winning musical continues to shape generations of audiences and teaches us all to measure our lives in love. Based loosely on Puccini’s La Bohème, Rent follows a year in the life of a group of young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York’s Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today.
 
During the production weekend, there will also be an art gallery in the upper lobby of Pfeiffer Hall, titled “Love Against Oppression” in collaboration with NCC Galleries, and a display of parts of the AIDS quilt from the National AIDS Memorial Foundation, in collaboration with NCC Engaged and the Center for Social Impact.
