The energy was electric last summer in NYC! A look back at our New York  City Hip Hop Summer Intensive, where dancers pushed their limits in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment built around versatility and individuality. In partnership with Shake The Ground, The Ultimate Dance Competition shakethegroundcomp , this three-week program brings together a dynamic community of artists under the direction of Lissette Lucas lissettelucas_ and David Lucas.⁠

Dancers are guided through a daily classes, exploring a wide range of styles including Commercial Dance, Breaking, House, Locking, Jazz/Funk, and Freestyle. Each class builds on the next, pushing dancers to expand their movement vocabulary while developing confidence and individuality.⁠

Beyond the classroom, the experience extends into battles, music video work, and performance-based training that reflects the demands of today’s industry. Each week builds toward a new performance opportunity, with rehearsals integrated into the daily process.⁠
