We deserve to move freely in our communities without worrying that our daily driving routines are being shared with ICE. 

Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) are cameras that scan and store license plate data from countless drivers every day, enabling agencies to keep track of where people drive and when—and without their consent. 

Without safeguards, agencies such as law enforcement can currently hold onto everyone’s data and share it with out-of-state entities, including the federal government. 

🚩That is red flag for privacy rights, particularly for immigrants and people seeking reproductive or gender-affirming care. 

The Driver Privacy Act would put in place common-sense regulations on how our state's public agencies use this technology. We're fighting for the regulations Washington lacks, and the freedom to move around our communities without being tracked.
