What are we fighting for? ⤵️
1️⃣ The Fair Score Act (HB 1274): Fairness should be equitable, across the board. This bill will right a historical wrong and help up to 856 currently incarcerated people have their sentence reviewed and potentially adjusted so that they aren't being punished twice because of a crime they committed as a child – something we no longer do when sentencing people today.

2️⃣ The Second Look Pathway for Youth (HB 1317): Everyone deserves a second chance, but that is not a reality in Washington. People incarcerated in our state do not have the opportunity to have their long sentences reviewed. So, we’re fighting to expand opportunities for a second look and to bring Washington in line with trends of justice. 

⚖️ These bills recognize that people are more than their worst mistakes, and that justice should allow room for change.
