¡Viva Fiesta! 🎉 #ThrowbackThursday

Today marks the start of Fiesta, an 11-day, citywide celebration featuring more than 100 events, including parades, live music, and local food.

Trinity has been part of the celebration since 1946, when the University first appeared in the Battle of the Flowers Parade and the Texas Cavaliers River Parade.

The University still takes part in both parades, including the tiger-shaped helium balloon, now a fixture at the Battle of the Flowers Parade, and releases a new Fiesta medal each year, a favorite among collectors across the city and within the Trinity community.
