Back in high school, I used to think that academics and grades were the most important thing in life. I thought all A’s meant I was successful. All A’s would lead to a prestigious college…a prestigious college would lead to a great job. A great job would lead to an organized life…and so on.  All these checkpoints for life. A life I was living for others. A life I was living to be deemed as “excellent” in society. It wasn’t until I was in college where I realized that checkpoints lead to a life that I don’t want for myself.  …and it all started with thinking grades defined my success.  I’m so glad that I grew up and taught myself to unlearn those false narratives and redefine what success means to me. Getting to have moments like these bring me so much gratitude and joy 🥹 greatful that I am choosing this version of life. A life full of risks, rollercoasters, and travel. ✈️ Here’s a POV of what I get to do after work…as I currently reside in Kyoto.  #kyoto #japan #fushimi #nomadlife #solotravel
