🎉 Exciting news: #AlamedaCounty families with children in our Oakland intensive care unit and NICU will now have access to affordable apartments in #Oakland, so they can benefit from stable housing near their critically ill kids.
The Oakland Housing Authority's new program provides 50 apartments for our patient families at a rent of $250/month for up to five years, with funding from alamedaallianceforhealth.
“Safe, stable housing has an enormous impact on children — supporting how quickly they recover from injury and illness, as well as their long-term health outcomes," ucsfchildrens president Dr. Nicholas Holmes says. "Through this partnership, we’re building on our long-standing commitment to the health of Oakland and the #EastBay, and our continued investment in this community.”
