DEAD WHALE: A dead whale found in Newark Bay was moved to Jones Beach for a necropsy. 

Officials said favorable winds and seas allowed the whale to be towed from New York Harbor to shore at Jones Beach. The Long Island beach was selected due to its access to heavy equipment and other resources needed for the exam, as well as a suitable burial site afterward, officials said in a social media post.
