The Nebraska softball team continues to build momentum as one of the top-ranked programs in the country, coming off another win that marks 26 victories in its last 27 games. The Huskers, ranked No. 1 by Softball America, also sit No. 3 in the D1 Softball poll and No. 4 in the USA Softball rankings, placing them firmly among the nation’s elite as the regular season winds down. Despite the national recognition, head coach Rhonda Revelle said the focus inside the program hasn’t changed. “I don’t really care what the number is until the last day of the season,” Revelle said. “It seems like every week we’re a different number.” Players say the team’s success is rooted in strong chemistry and a shared mindset that has carried them throughout the season. “When you get that kind of love that’s really unconditional for one another, I don’t care what kind of unit you’re in — a team, a family, a work environment — all things are possible,” Revelle said. That connection has Nebraska in position for a potential NCAA regional host bid in Lincoln. The weekend will also carry added emotion, as Saturday marks Senior Day for a group Revelle called “irreplaceable.” “The way they have represented this program, this community, this university, this athletic department has been impeccable,” Revelle said. “From the way they interact with people to how they show up for each other every day — I’ll never be able to thank them enough.” A senior player echoed that sentiment, describing the team’s bond as family. “I feel so lucky to have been part of something so special,” Huskers Senior Pitcher and First Baseman Jordy Frahm said. “We love each other like family, and that includes the coaches.” Nebraska hosts Iowa this weekend in its final regular-season home series before closing the year on the road at Penn State. #huskers #cornhuskers #nebraska #Nebraskasoftball #ncaasoffball
