Hilary Duff got candid about her experience with child stardom and her feelings towards documentaries unpacking the trauma experienced by children in the spotlight. ➡️

While at the TIME100 Summit, Hilary Duff was asked if watching ‘Quiet On Set’ and ‘Framing Britney Spears’ as an ex-Disney star changed her perspective on child stardom in the early 2000s.

“I think I feel really quite sad when I watch a lot of those documentaries, for obvious reasons,” Duff shared. “I feel very grateful that I wasn’t put in too many positions that left battle wounds on me.”

She also explained how being in the spotlight since the age of 9 meant she had a “very different upbringing,” and although she had a lot of amazing experiences, she also missed some major milestones.

“It’s taught me a lot, and it’s completely formed who I am. And I’m proud of that person.”

How do you feel watching documentaries based on child stardom? Let us know in the comments. ⬇️
