## Caption

This lake actually turns into polka dots. In the summer, Spotted Lake in British Columbia, Canada transforms from a normal lake into hundreds of bright yellow, green, and blue circles. #lake #apotted #britishcolumbia #canada #shorts

As the water evaporates, it leaves behind concentrated minerals like magnesium sulfate and calcium. Each pool has a different mix, which is why every circle ends up a different color. But this place isn't just strange, it's sacred. For centuries, the Okanagan Nation believed each of these spots had healing properties. They've protected the land, and today you can only view it from a distance.
