At NVIDIA GTC, I sat down with Matt Cragun, Director of Product at NVIDIA, to break down a wave of new announcements spanning autonomous vehicle development, neural reconstruction, and generative simulation. We cover Alpamayo 1.5, the follow-up to the 10B parameter reasoning model announced at CES, including new navigation prompting that lets developers steer the model's decisions.

Matt also walks through the public release of the NuRec SDK and container, which makes NVIDIA's neural reconstruction pipeline modular and accessible to developers building their own Gaussian Splatting and radiance field workflows across automotive, robotics, and healthcare.

We also dig into the Asset Harvester, which reconstructs vehicles, pedestrians, and other real-world objects as 3D Gaussians that can be reinserted into novel scenes; how NuRec is closing the long-standing simulation domain gap; and the Open Claw agent-driven workflow Jensen demoed during the keynote, which orchestrates data search, reconstruction, the Fixer, the Asset Harvester, and Cosmos through APIs to generate synthetic training data.

Finally, Matt previews AlpaDreams, NVIDIA's latest research turning Cosmos into a closed-loop world model where the simulator and the driving policy interact frame by frame — a major step toward simulating the rare edge cases autonomous vehicles need to handle.
