At higher levels, you’re not stealing obvious balls, you’re winning the margins.

Your job is to turn borderline pitches into strikes through
timing, direction, and presentation

Here’s the framework:

Inside pitches:
Create space with your body
Align your chest with the edge of the zone
Beat the ball to the spot early
Present the inside half of the ball
Receive out front and stabilize, no drag after contact

Outside pitches:
Get there early and under control
Maintain center through your body
Present the outside half of the ball
Work through the catch with direction
Stick the endpoint, no excess movement

Elite receiving isn’t about making pitches look like strikes
It’s about making strikes look undeniable
