early album of the year candidate: tommisch edition 💿

tom misch is widely known as one of the most multi talented british musicians of his generation, and his success so far has seen no bounds

this includes hundreds of millions of streams, collabs with artists ranging from de la soul to loyle carner, and one of the most viewed tiny desk concerts of all time

my main purpose of mentioning tom today though, is because his new album full circle came out a few weeks ago — and it's already a favorite of mine for 2026

the project delivers every sound we have come to expect from misch, with layers of jazz, guitar driven melodies, and thoughtful lyrics — all infused with a new sort of 'soulful folk' style

my favorite tracks so far are either sisters with me or echoes from the flame (which is the song in this video), and if you're looking for reinvention in the form of an album, then look no further and start listening to full circle now 🌊
