Women’s Sports:
In the past few years, Mizzou athletics have been working towards equal opportunities and more viewership in women's sports.

“People are realizing, like, these females and these athletes are strong, amazing, athletic, everything,” said Emily Garrett, director of volleyball operations at Mizzou.

Slam! Leaving an impact through poetry:
Communicating their passions through poetry, Mizzou students Summer Dunkley and Joe Hess understand the necessity of braving the unknown and writing from the heart.

“I’d rather my voice be heard than allow things that people don’t want to talk about to continue not getting talked about,” Dunkley said. 

Spreading light beyond sight:
Public speaking instructor Kendal Lyssy makes it her personal mission to be a beacon of light in her personal and professional life while navigating life as a blind person. 

“It is so important to be a light, whether you have a disability or not,” Lyssy said.
